The Draft Resolution (Reg. No. 1474) envisages holding of parliamentary hearings on the said issue in April 2008.
To coordinate Ukrainian legislation with the European Union standards, the Committee members deem necessary to perform a system of actions aimed at legislative regulation of the matters concerning development of infrastructure of agricultural land market, and at elaboration and legislative control of national rules of market regulation. The said matter should become a subject of parliamentary hearings.
Pursuant to the Bill, "the National Television Company, the National Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, and the Information Department of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are to cover the parliamentary hearings at the first channel of Ukrainian radio and television, and in other mass media".
The Committee believes that holding of the parliamentary hearings will draw attention of governmental institutions, political parties, the public, and mass media to the problems of legislative support of establishment of agricultural land market in Ukraine.
